We are absolutely delighted to reveal to you, our loyal supporters, your new-look Blackburn Hawks, our new website and the first of our shirt reveals for the 2020/21 season.
The re-brand includes a modernised version of the iconic Hawks logo, carrying over the same colours to pay respect to Blackburn Hawks’ history, and a new version of the classic “B” held by a hawk’s claw logo.
Over 100 hours of development have gone into the rebrand project, including 20 rejected designs, all so we could find the perfect fit for the image we want to portray going forward.
Co-Owner Carl Everitt made the following statement:
‘As part of our plan to bring supporters, players and sponsors a match-night experience deserving of recommendation, our focus on the right brand image was vital.
After lots of thoughts, ideas and feedback, Graham and I, along with the Hawks Management Team are delighted to bring you today’s exciting brand relaunch, which includes our fantastic new logo which respects the history of the club, whilst bringing us into the 21st century. Along with our New Website, we will shortly be launching our Hybrid App & HawksStore, where you can purchase many things including our 2020/21 Replica Jerseys and other official Hawks merchandise.
When starting the brand relaunch, which was to include the new logo, I was very conscious of doing our beloved club justice and not in any way disrespecting the past, therefore it was vital that we captured the DNA of our club in everything that we aimed to deliver.
When I sat down with Tiaan and his team at Key & Eagle, I explained that our brand relaunch must represent the following characteristics of the Blackburn Hawks Family:
Courage, Character, Fearless, Hardworking, Committed, Competent, Passionate
I’m delighted to stay that I’m more than satisfied with the results so far and believe that Key & Eagle have truly delivered the vision Graham & I had, and I would like to thank them for all their hard work and dedication in creating something better than we ever thought was possible.
Within the rebrand launch, we’re also delighted to showcase the design of one of our 2020/21 Jerseys – we hope you love it as much as we all do!

Nigil George, the senior designer for Key & Eagle who was tasked with the rebrand added:
“The Hawks were the first ice hockey team I’ve ever had to do a rebrand for. I’ve worked on cricket, rugby and even football rebrand projects before, but when going through the history of the team and look at what elements we could use, it was clear this is rebrand had to be perfect – as respect to the clearly loyal and passionate fans. I hope the fans love the rebrand as much as the Hawks management and the K&E staff do!”
