Blackburn Hawks Ice Hockey Club would like to welcome onboard local company Plan B Electrical as a major sponsor.
Company Director Paul Lilley has been attending the Arena with his family for many years watching the Hawks, and has an extensive knowledge of the clubs history. He commented:
“Myself and my business partner Dom (Taylor) have always supported local sports at grass roots level and I personally attend most home games at the Arena and I’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember, I’ve known Graham (Lomax) for years and I know his families love for the club and what it means to them and I recently told him this too, as a company we’re delighted to be a part of the exciting future that lies ahead, we met with both Carl and Graham last week and they explained their plans and we really were taken aback and we want to play a big part in it all and we really look forward to working with them going forward, we loved the Golf Day and if that’s anything to go by then WOW! We can’t wait for the season to start.
Co Owner Graham Lomax had the following to say:
“We’re rolling now and things really are picking up speed, sponsors are now looking to come in with us without us chasing them which in itself speaks volumes, when the news broke that we’d taken control, both Paul and Dom (Plan B) wanted to be associated with us, in fact Paul was in my Office the following morning.
We’d like to thank not only Plan B but all the other companies (some of which we haven’t announced yet) for being so supportive, trying to get a new business off the ground can be difficult but with the support so far it’s been made a lot easier.
We have lots of news to bring everyone and everyone on the team is working really hard behind the scenes, at the moment there is still no news on Leagues or Fixtures etc that’s down to the clubs and the league but in house we are constantly working in taking the club forward, as soon as we have news on anything we’ll bring it to you all, we are all excited about the next few months but we are in uncharted waters but trust me it’s not stopping us planning ahead.
With a bit of luck we should have some hockey on the Horizon, here’s hoping? Thank you all for your patience.”
