RETIRED

NUMBERS

#21 – Oliver Lomax

Around 1996, a youngster born and bred in Blackburn joined the rinks Learn to Play programme and no one really understood where that journey would take him, hoping one day to become a Blackburn Hawk. In his 437 game Hawks career as a defenceman he has scored 38 goals, 72 assists & is the franchise All Time Penalty minute taker clocking up 1120 minutes!

During his time with the Hawks he was part of the “Invincibles” squad, winning the League and Play Off doubles in 2014 – 15 & 2015 – 16 seasons and the NIHL Northern Play Off Champions in 2012 – 13. Ollie has been at the fore-front with all the community work the club has done over the years and continues to do so.

At the beginning of the 2019-2020 season, Ollie made the heart wrenching decision to retire from his playing career to focus on his young family, giving him more time to spend with wife Nicole and daughters Layla and Freya.
