We are delighted to be able to announce that we have secured the services of Lynne Charnock as our Team Medic, to ensure that help is on hand should an accident or injury occur during play.
Lynne commented on taking up her new role:
‘I’m pleased to have been asked to support the team as Team Medic. Having spent 12 years on the Ambulance service as an Emergency Medical Technician, as much as I hope I am not required, it is important that the players have the resources available to look after them if needed and they know the club is looking after them. After helping during an on-ice incident a couple of seasons ago, the management kindly asked me to provide this support again on home match nights.
I have been watching the Hawks for 7 years along with my family who is also involved in the new set up. I’m looking forward to the new era at the Hawks.’
Dean Worrall Blackburn Hawks General Manager commented:
‘I am delighted to announce that Lynne Charnock will take up the role as Team Medic for the Blackburn Hawks Ice Hockey Team for the coming season. Ensuring players receive the correct treatment when an incident or accident occurs on the ice is of the utmost importance and having Lynne there will ensure this happens without delay. Lynne brings with her a wealth of experience and she is a great addition to the team.‘
