The Management at Blackburn Hawks are pleased to be able to share with you, our loyal fans, some pictures from our latest training session this week.
With the current uncertainty that exists due to the impact of Covid, we felt it important to be able to share some exciting and positive news to show that we at Blackburn Hawks are not resting on our laurels and everyone is working hard behind the scenes to be in the best position possible for when we all hope to get the green light to begin the season proper.
Team Manager, Adrian Charnock, had this to say:
‘This was our second week on the ice. There has been a great team effort from everyone involved. We have had a lot to do off ice in the previous weeks, and in a short time frame, to meet the EIHA and Government stringent requirements for Elite club practice and organise getting the players down to, and in the arena, to get these sessions on.
This week, we had a great turn out, full capacity, and we were able for the first time to have our full coaching team of Ryan Finnerty, Ollie Lomax and Lee Pollitt working together with the players on the ice, and the signs are very positive at this early stage.
We were also able to showcase the brand new training kit. Watching the session from the side, it was a great to see the players being put through their paces looking like a professional organisation.
Our official team photographer, Steve Pollitt, was in attendance to, as ever, get those great action shots for us to share with you all.
We wanted to do this to show everyone that hockey is back in business down at the arena and #projecthawks is making huge strides forward for that day we all wait for, when we can have the games on, and the fans in, to create the atmosphere and cheer the team on.”
Look out for more exciting news in the coming weeks and we hope to welcome you all down at the arena again as soon as possible. Stay safe until then.
