Following the announcement of Ryan Finnerty as our ‘Head of Coaching’, your Blackburn Hawks are also thrilled to announce that we will become an affiliate club to the Elite Ice Hockey League’s (EIHL) Manchester Storm!
The affiliation, which will see the clubs sharing & engaging together in various projects is a huge coup for the Hawks and paves the way for young players to progress their ice hockey dreams right here in the North West.
Co-Owner Carl Everitt said of the affiliation;
‘Further to the announcement of Ryan as our Head of Coaching, it’s great that as part of our relationship we will now proudly be an affiliate club of the Manchester Storm. This will mean that we can look forward to working together to create a fantastic opportunity for players for years to come.’
Whilst Ryan Finnerty added;
‘We are excited to join up with the Hawks and create a pathway for kids to progress to the EIHL level. We are keen to support all local clubs and will we continue to help out in any fashion where we can. It’s a great time to focus on development for the future of GB ice hockey and our beloved sport.’
Additionally, the Manchester Storm badge will feature on our brand new jerseys, which are being supplied by Dunamis Sports. Be sure to keep an eye on our social media over the coming weeks for more information.
