Directors of Greenlite Group, Bob and Ricky Hall, stated:
“We are very happy to be the title sponsor of the Blackburn Hawks for the forthcoming season. Bob and I have been in and around hockey for over 40 years, initially both playing for the Blackpool Seagulls before the Blackburn arena opened. I was a net minder and came over to Blackburn in the early days with a handful of other players namely Gary Shearman, George Powel, John Dunford and Dave Anthony. Bob stepped away from the game for a while bringing up a young family but came back to coach in the junior development with his 3 sons who all had a stint playing for the Hawks.
Bob still laces up every Wednesday night at Blackburn and cant see himself stopping anytime soon.

Hawks’ Co-Owner Graham Lomax commented:
“It was important to the new brand of Blackburn Hawks that we had the right Main Sponsor onboard with us, and by that I mean we needed a company that was National but also one that was based locally and we’ve got that. Furthermore it’s important that a company understands hockey too, and with Greenlite we have all of these bases covered, as there’s a longstanding connection to the Hockey Club. I’ll explain, Greenlite Group Ltd is family owned in Blackpool by the Hall Brothers, Bob & Rick (Directors) Bob’s Sons Harry (Operations Manager) and Jackson (Technical Manager) are also employees at the company. There is also a third brother Kurtis who works away from the Family business… Now then, here’s the Hawks connection – Rick joined the Hawks between the pipes along with John Dunford in the early days in the 1991-92 season from Blackpool Seagulls under the then Head Coach, Canadian Doug McKay. Brothers Harry, Jackson and Kurtis came through our very successful junior system at times under Coach and Dad (Bob). All three went on to play in the Senior team at various stages before leaving the sport. Bob still laces them up to this day on a weekly scrimmage at the Arena.
Both Carl and I are delighted that the Hawks will be prominently displaying the company logo. We’ve been very patient once again waiting for the right fit and we believe we have it. We are delighted Bob and the gang are all onboard and we can’t wait to see them all back at the rink once more. I’m sure many fans will remember all of the family during their stints, they are as excited as we are, and it really is a good fit for all parties.”
