Being able to hold on to Devids is a huge thing for the club and the boys. Devids came to us as a forward the last couple season but is a natural defenceman. This season is different, we will be playing Devids in his natural position.

He’s a player trying to get to the next level and deserves a shot in his natural position to show what he can do after everything he’s done for us.

We have put him back last year and he had stabilised our defensive unit. It was an a massive boost to help us in the cup runs. He will be arguably one of the best defenceman in the league. He’a calm, natural and highly skilled player and always trying to better himself.

He will be playing next to one of the best younger defenceman at his age in the country and I feel they will complement each other so well. To have a player at his caliber back there will help our younger boys massively. Again you’re not committed to an American University for nothing and it’s unfortunate COVID hit because I do believe he’d still be playing North American hockey.

I’m looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish in his natural position cause if he does half as much as playing a Completely foreign position we’re in for a real treat. Welcome back WiFi.

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be returning to the Blackburn Hawks, taking on a new role as part of the defenceman core. It feels fantastic to rejoin the team and be part of this amazing community once again.

I’m really looking forward to being back and can’t wait to see everyone at the nest. The support and energy from all of you have always been a driving force for our success, and I’m eager to contribute to the team’s efforts on the ice. #DJ96
