What can I say about this signing? To have Bob back for another year is exciting. From a coach to a player perspective it is a massive advantage to have a player with the experience he does. It helps that he’s arguably one of the best defenseman in the league. He’s not only a guy that logs a ton of icetime in all situations but understands the game as a player that sometimes me self and Ollie miss now that we have been off the ice for some time.

I bounce ideas off of him a lot. We talk a lot about how we can work things out and most of the time between myself Ollie and Bobby it works. He’s a great role model for our younger players and is a great leader for the room. His veteran presence I think this season will show even more as last season I feel it took him about 5-10 games to adjust to the level. We’ll be looking for Bobby to come outa the gate firing on all cylinders and with more confidence after last season.

Really happy to be back again for another year! Dom and Ollie are putting another exciting squad together and mix that with playing in front or the best fans in the north it’s a very easy decision to come back. Blackburn feels like home now and I’m looking forward to challenging and hopefully bringing more silverware back to Blackburn over the course of the year!
