Dean Seals The Deal

Blackburn Hawks are delighted to be able to announce the appointment of the club’s new General Manager Dean Worrall.

Dean is no stranger to the club and he’s a familiar face to most. He’s been a long time supporter but also he’s provided the club with much needed sponsorship, in the shape of Local and Nationwide Company BAXI

Hawks new Co Owner Graham Lomax had this to say about the new GM:

“Once Carl and I secured the business, one of our first objectives was to start to build the foundations and forge a way forward in building the new brand. We knew we needed some key personnel in certain areas and roles who’d bring to the club what we need and are looking for and I think our appointments already represent this. We sat down with Dean in the office and when we spoke about our excitement and our vision for the future, it was immediately clear we are all cut from the same cloth. I’ve known Dean for a long time and I knew his feelings were the same as ours even before we met this week, but we didn’t need to try to convince him to join the team, he sang like a bird released. He loves it just like we do and he’ll bring a lot of experience and pride into the everyday running of the Club.

We look forward to working together and we embrace new energy and ideas that people like Dean will bring, our lengthy meeting this week not only resulted in the appointment of the new GM but also helped set out our pathway forward, trust me when I say we aren’t messing about at this, we’ve been constantly working hard for the last 14 days to bring a product and a business into the 21st Century and we promise to bring a fantastic experience to our loyal fans.

There will be lots of announcements over the coming days and weeks, so please keep an eye on all of our social media platforms.

We don’t see what’s been done, we only see what remains to be done!”

Dean spoke of his delight in accepting the role:

“I am absolutely delighted to be back in a formal capacity and looking forward to working with Graham, Carl & the rest of the team.  I recently met with them both and was excited by their vision and enthusiasm to get the Hawks back where they belong.  I’m a Hawks fan through and through and look forward being part of something special.”
