Blackburn Hawks are delighted to announce that forward Jordan Bannon is returning to the Hawks for the 2019-2020 season.
26-year-old Jordan’s junior hockey career started in the 2005-2006 season playing for Deeside Avalanche before spending 6 seasons within the Manchester Phoenix junior system. His senior career started with the Blackburn Hawks in 2011 but his next season was spent playing between Telford Tigers, Blackburn Hawks, and Deeside Dragons. 2013 saw him spend a full season with Deeside before he joined the ‘Invincible’ Blackburn Hawks side of 2014-2015, where the league and play-off double was won, and Jordan remained at the Hawks for 2015-2016 where the ‘double-double’ was achieved. In 2016 Jordan re-signed for Deeside before returning to the nest at Blackburn last season where he helped the Hawks reach the playoffs.
James Neil commented on Jordan’s return:
“I’m really pleased to have Jordan back next year. Once he finds his feet after taking a few years out I’m sure he will become a valuable asset to the team. He’s great in the dressing room and is a player every team needs. He has bags of skill and has a physical presence to get under the opposition’s skin.”
Jordan had this to say on his return to the nest:
“I’m really stoked the coach asked me to resign after how rusty I was when I came back last year. I’ll be making sure I get on the ice a bit in the off-season so I return somewhere near to my best, rather than being rusty as hell like last year.“
Own and Loan Shirt information will be released in due course.
